BENEATH THE SURFACE

My intake of the film was that it was amazing. I learned so many new things about the food that we ingest and how it gets from an anonymous farm into our stomachs. Most of the things showed in the film were probably things you wouldnt want to know about, but by learning more about whats going on around us we can better ourselves and possibly make this world a better place for the next generation. One of the things that I found interesting in the film was that the farmers besically changed the anatomy of the chickens to create a mass production of big breasted chickens, that way they would be almost twice their size, and have more white meat due to the demand. The chickens have difficulty walking and probably breathing becuase of their enormous size. Another interesting thing is that even if an animal gets sick, the farmers still send them out to be processed. isnt that a fun fact>? not really but these are some of the things that people need to know in order to mae change in this corrupt place. I am almost positive that if someone who eats in mcdonlads every day went and saw that way these animals are kept ,lying around with fecies and no space to move they wouldnt go back there to eat ever again! its cruel, discusting, unsanitary and not to mention unfair to the consumers who are spending their hard earned money to pay for unhealthy , and ultimately sickning food. If people continue to buy food off of places like mcdonlads eventually everyone would become obese. its already starting to happen. Kids are begining to develop diabetes at young ages which brings me to my next subject. CorN! CORN IS USED IN ALMOST ALL OF THE GOODS FOUND IN ALOST ALL SUPERMARKETS. If you look on the ingredients you will find that almost everything you pick up at the supermarket contains either corn syrup or glucose as one of the first ingredients. The mass production of corn is going up by the minute and no one knows that all of these foods have no nutritional value and soon will become even more concentrated as years go on. People have to start paying more attention to even the smallest aspectof their lives ,even something as simple as food. why? , becuase we cant trust the people who process our food,or the people who are sopposed to be checking the food comming in. So who will?
